TIJ Link Exchange Policy

TIJ is visited by over 5000 users each day, mostly home inspectors or real estate professionals. TIJ links drive traffic to websites.  The Inspector's Journal is constantly striving to improve our web site and content. For this reason, we are quite selective with respect to the websites we accept for Link Exchange Partnership. We seek only quality sites as reciprocal link exchange partners. New links will appear on TIJ's front page for a limited time also.

For Home Inspectors

Link exchange is free to all home inspectors; all that  is required is a link back to TIJ. If we can't find our link on your site we may just ignore your request as we do not have time to respond. 

For Home Inspector Vendors

If your primary business is selling products or services to home inspectors, link submission is NOT FREE. TIJ is a free informational site for home inspectors, that means that the vendors and advertisers pay for this site. This website was built with years of hard work and dedication by many. If you would like to benefit from it you must contribute! 

The terms and condition of submission to our index are as follows; 

1. The cost is $50.00 US and includes your first 200 clicks though
2. An additional $25.00 for every 200 clicks though after that
3. Vendors can add links, images and a couple of paragraphs of text
4. Vendors can update the links from time to time, edits must be approved by staff
5. Vendors can write one free ad to be displayed in our advertisers forum (editor approval needed)
6. Vendors can post events in our calendar (editor approval needed)
7. We reserve the right to refuse or remove any link at any time

For Non-Profit Web Sites

Your content must be relevant to our site content and you must provide a return link on a page that is not hidden. There is no charge for this link. 

For everyone Else

If you would like to be considered for TIJ Exchange Partnership, please read and comply with the following membership requirements. 

You Must:

1. Provide a link back to TIJ that is easily accessible to users and us
2. Have a Google PR3 or better

We DO NOT accept the following websites as link exchange partners: 

1. Adult entertainment websites
2. Hate or warez websites 
3. Gambling websites
4. Any website that we deem to be inappropriate for viewing by children
5. Websites that are discriminatory or deceptive in nature or that espouse discriminatory or deceptive practices
6. Websites that advertise or endorse highly questionable products or services, including those under scrutiny by consumer or law enforcement agencies
7. Websites that knowingly attempt to download browser add-ons, pop-up generators or active spyware without explicit visitor consent
8. Websites that knowingly attempt to download any computer security threat such as active spyware, viruses or worms
9.  Any website such as link farms and content-poor advertising sites, including sites whose primary content is third-party advertising
10. Websites with undesirable behaviors such as excessive pop-ups, irritating graphics such as rapidly flashing banner ads, or browser hijacking

Any website that we feel is not in keeping with the spirit and intent of the The Inspector's Journal website, unless such a website is viewed by us as providing a significant contribution to the internet community at large.
