Some of the corners on my stucco house are strarting to rust. The house is only six months old.The builder said they did not use zinc on all the corners. Some corners they used a galvanized metal.he said they will come back and wrap the corners and everything will be fine. How do you wrap over stucco? is this a good idea?

I hope they are not using drywall corner bead for exterior stucco!

All lathe and weep screed should have been corrosion-resistant products.

I don't know what he means by 'wrap over' but it's not a solution if he's just going to cover it up.

I suggest that you hire an expert to detail every flaw in the entire stucco installation. Perhaps it's much worse than you believe it to be.

Reach out for Thom Walker at 361-774-7182.

He is a very good inspector in the Corpus Christi area.
