Are there any manufacturers that allow the installation of granular coated modified bitumen roofing to be installed vertically (parallel to the rake) instead of horizontally (parallel to the eave)?

I would imagine no as this would make it more prone for leakage at the seams, eh?

Ahh. Thanks Erik
So it looks like over 1/2" per foot, they require that it be installed perpendicular to the ridge-- good to know.
Now I'll have to find out if that applies to torch down, or just cold applied methods.

Certainteed's directions were one of the sets I read. Don't ask me how I skipped right over the important part I was looking for. I think I'm slipping.
