I had a home with 2 new Gibson gas fired HE furnaces. Both of them were leaking condensate. Has any noticed this, is it a trend?

Leaking where? Are they Cat I or IV?
Trend? I don't know. But, they shouldn't be leaking, anywhere.
Put up a pic if you can.

Leaks are so common in Cat IV units that I run them for much longer than cat 1 furnaces. The longer you run them, the easier it is to find all of the leaks.

As Brandon, leaks are fairly common in these units. Here's a photo of one I did (a Rudd) in Dec that was previously repaired (the part were sitting on top of the unit).

The last two both have the drain line running up hill to clear the pan to get to the drain line.

This shot shows the basement condensate line entering the waste stack, there is not trap below the entrance to the stack...
