That's a funny one, Kevin. Looks like Bubba never lifts a hammer in that place. 
Those brown streaks have a rodent flavor to them. That hammer might be doing double duty as a step up to the sill.

Judging from those solder joints the hammer could also be used to pinch water line in an emergency!
