State of North Carolina, Harnett county

I am in the process of installing a home automation system in my new construction and there is a bundle of about 10 feet of data, coax, and speaker cable hanging out of a double gang box in the garage. None of the wire is energized. Will this cause us to fail the electrical/wiring inspection?

That's a question for your local inspector. Just call him & ask.

I will add that it would have no bearing on the electrical inspection here in my area.

Except for control wiring for HVAC equipment, I don't pay much attention to other low voltage wiring. Like Jim said though, the local AHJ is the one to ask.
