Is there an easy way to tell if a fan is rated for installation directly inside the shower compartment without tearing it apart?

I doubt that tearing it apart will tell you anything. I think I'd just recommend that it be GFCI protected and be done with it.

I'm pretty sure I've always had to pull the cover to read what was needed.
