Does anyone have a timeline on the use of white PVC for use in wastewater systems?

I am trying to find out when schedule 20 white PVC for first used.

Thanks

I don't know. The oldest CABO code I have is from 1986. In section P2202.1 it says:

Above-grade Piping Within Buildings. Drain waste and vent (DWV) piping above grade in buildings shall be:
Cast-iron soil pipe.
ABS or PBC Type DWV, 3.25-inch O.D., or foam-core plastic pipe.
Copper tube, Type DWV or heavier.
Galvanized steel pipe.

I'm sure PVC was used for DWV earlier than that, but I don't know how much earlier.

Jeff,
Here is mid and upper Mich "white" pvc was first used in mid 70' for waste and supply. This was along with orange for hot supply. blue for cold potable, gray for higher temp and pressure. Point is: The color scheme was developed during 70's and 80's to what we commonly see today. The classic ivory has been around here since day one. PVA,CPVC,ABS, etc is a new product, to old timers, and has a colorful past!
