The San Francisco Board of Supervisors is considering new green building codes that would become the most stringent in the country. If the codes are approved, they could eventually cut carbon dioxide emissions by 60,000 tons. Mayor Gavin Newsom has promised to sign the code into law.

Sounds more like a political statement than a building code.

It's both. Buildings are by far the biggest carbon producers overall, not cars.

Global Warming

It's the answer that's looking for a question.

Don't get me wrong now, I am all for conservation and lower pollution. I just believe that the whole global warming thing is more about politics than anything else.
