Press Releas - Palatine, IL Schneider Electric announces an eLearning Web site that delivers the latest information and professional training on Safety, Codes and Standards, Compliance Issues, Technical Skills Development, Product and Technology Reviews, and General Business Management to electrical contractors.
The site —www.us.squared.com/contractor-training— was developed to provide electrical contractors with more convenient, easy-to-use, and cost-effective training, as well as the latest information on new technology and products.
“As electrical contractors work to stay competitive in a tough market, Web-based training tools can be a valuable option to help keep themselves and employees up-to-date on the latest information,” said Melissa Golden, Contractor Segment Manager for Schneider Electric. “Our eLearning courses deliver training to our customers when they need it, and on their own schedule.”
Schneider Electric’s eLearning Web site can improve both the flexibility and quality of training by providing access to a wide range of resources and materials, which otherwise might not be available to many electrical contractors. Current topics address the desire to enhance professional development, the need to be continually educated on new technologies and solutions, and the realization that learning is a lifelong experience. Users of the site will find an abstract, a list of course prerequisites and key objectives for all the sessions listed, designed to help contractors select appropriate sessions to meet their needs.
Online training is also more affordable than traditional classroom training, with savings of 60 percent or more. Additionally, online courses can be taken in multiple sittings, and are available 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week.
The new eLearning site complements training materials already in place from Schneider Electric including instructor-led classroom training and training workstations, which can also be ordered online.
Schneider Electric’s eLearning site will be continually updated with the latest information. “We have more courses and materials that are currently in development, and will post them to the site as they are available,” added Golden.
