rocksolidhminspct
In order to not re-invent the wheel, does anyone have a manufactured home inspection template I can have? Thanks Rocky
Scottpat
Just use what you normally use for a stick built, that is what most do.
Robert Jones
As Scott said. That is what I do. I have a form set specifically for manufactured homes that doesn't have an attic section, garage section etc...
hausdok
They are nothing special; just framed lighter with no attic and usually a crawl of some sort. Take your time to write the first report in word, save it and then use it as a template and overwrite it for all additional manufactured home inspections. ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Charles46
With the software I use, I can add or delete sections as needed. So I created a section titled Manufactured Home and it incorporates those items that are unique to manufactured homes. Everything else gets reported in its typical location on the report. Tom Raymond
Your going to need to locate the VIN tag to confirm it's manufactured, then verify the tie downs are correct for the type of foundation it's on. After that it's just a cheap house.
Marc
If it's a HUD-Code home, there's a multitude of issues that regularly crop up on them. Roof leaks on a new shingle roof, roof pitches that drop to zero then reverse near the eaves, sub-floor staples that pop up through the vinyl and carpet, doors that don't operate properly, water intrusion issues at lower window corners, etc. I don't have a list. Just stay alert Rocky. Nice layout on your website. Marc

Remember, Marc's an export on HUD code homes 'cause he lived in a trailer one as a child........Greg
randynavarro
You can also download the HUD guide for Mfg. Housing. It's bulky but somewhat helpful.
