  1. Hi. Can anyone comments or point me to information on whether benzene and VOCs from attached garages cause linger long-term in homes even after the source is removed? If the garage was no longer used for storing a vehicle for a long period of time, is there reason to suspect that the toxicity of the gases would linger in the house? For instance, would benzene be absorbed into the home's materials and continue to pose a health risk even if it wasn't in the air? Any thoughts you have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
