Jerry Simon
I know, this ain't the forum for such, but I respect a lot of you out there, and perhaps somebody can help. New computer, Windows 7, and when I try to log-on certain websites, like my on-line banking, I get that little error icon at the lower left side of the page, the little yellow triangle with the exclamation point inside. The error message reads: Webpage error details User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/4.0; GTB6.5; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; CPDTDF) Timestamp: Fri, 13 Aug 2010 17:45:42 UTC Message: Error in loading DLL Line: 155 Char: 8 Code: 0 URI: https://www.onlinebanking.pnc.com/JavaS ... b/pm_fp.js Message: Error in loading DLL Line: 155 Char: 8 Code: 0 URI: https://www.onlinebanking.pnc.com/JavaS ... b/pm_fp.js Webpage error details Other web sites get the error icon, but I can still navigate the site. The bank site just goes blank. Any geeks out there?
mgbinspect
Usually, if I google the error message, I find a blog along with some decent suggestions and links.
Terence McCann
Have you tried Internet Explorer Jerry?
Jerry Simon
Michael, I tried that, and got gobbledy-gook. Terry, this is IE
Jerry Simon
Weird, it is IE8. I downloaded Firefox, and it works fine & dandy. Guess I'll be using Firefox 'till I hear from my *guy* at Microsoft. Thanks for the suggestions, folk.
Nolan Kienitz
Once you get handy with Firefox you will likely not want to go back to IE. I keep Firefox as prime ... occasionally use IE to double-check things and also use Opera now and then. I know Kurt is a fan of Chrome. Ben H
I've been using Chrome for about a month now and I throw rocks at IE, FF is still ok though. Google will own the planet before it's all said and done.
Chad Fabry
I'd use Chrome except "smooth scroll" in FF is like crack cocaine.

Jim Baird
I had some trouble with IE Outlook Express e-mail (can't remember now what it was), geeks at my ISP told me to download Mozilla Thunderbird for email, as that's what all the dweebs they knew used. I have used it ever since.
