Robert Jones
Typically I see these when a generator is installed(this home does not have a generator). This home had two 200 amp panels and a smaller sub. Why the safety switch? 2600 sq ft home built in 1995. Marc
Maybe the circuits are divided between those intended for the double throw switch and those not absolutely needing a backup source of power. Marc
hausdok
I sometimes encounter homes pre-wired for a generator as part of the "features" the builders install. ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Mike
Tom Raymond
Never mind the switch, that's a helluva lotta circuits! My parents house is a 2800 SF rancher with all but 800 SF of the basement finished, and it gets along fine with a 200 amp CH split bus. Robert Jones
Not only a lot of circuits, but the cooktop, fireplace, and water heater were gas! The home was originally owned by a wheelchair bound home owner, there were motion sensors for the lights, the shower in the master was a combo steam closet and jetted foot bath. All that square footage and it was a one bedroom home with two baths. Huge master bedroom.
