DonTx
The inspection today was on an old home that had been moved to the country. No one was sure how old the home was. Download Attachment: ChernoskyHome.JPG 41.77 KB From what I could tell, every rafter had been cut in about the same spot. Also, I noted that most of the Gable rafters had been cut about the same height as the rafer cuts. Is it possible that they took the roof off when they moved the home? I've never seen one done like this before although I've seen the entire roofs removed and rebuilt once the structure was on location. Thoughts? hausdok
Hi, Yes, it's done sometimes to make it possible to move them without the need to have wires dropped for passage. Here's a site you'll like. Especially the "For Sale" section. Nickel Bros. House Moving ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Mike
