Nolan Kienitz
Today's piece of news and resulting spin ... err ... observation! Reuters: New Home Sales Hit Record Low
resqman
There is the largest glut of used home stock available since anyone has been tracking, new contruction starts are lower than ever, the median house price is the lowest in 10 years, the market has not hit bottom yet but it is not that bad out there. Putting a positive spin on negative numbers.
inspector57
Not trying to spin here but remember guys, the "news" is actually history. Telling us what has happened already, not predicting the future although the general mode created by the recent history certainly has an effect on the future. My crystal ball prediction is that once the over supply of houses is finally absorbed, prices will stabilize and we can get back to a more normal business cycle. People still have to have a place to live and would rather own their own little kingdom than rent forever, human nature will rule once desire overcomes fear of the future. Agni
Housing or real estate business is getting high in many parts of the world. I don't know a good reason behind low selling record. It might happen because of high price in hardware stuffs and building materials. As we know the price of cement, concrete, rod, sand and brick or block is getting high day by day. Erby
Wonder if those link droppers ever come back to get disappointed when they see their link deleted but their insightful comments left in place.
hausdok
Hi Erby, Yeah, I thought it was kind of ironic that a website owner that has made her reputation by providing a place for people to sound off about lousy service was apparently paying an off-shore company to sow links about her site all over the net. Maybe, instead of simply deleting the link what we should do is change the link to a competitor's link so that when one clicked on it one got Craig's List. If everyone were to do that, the practice might one day stop. ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Mike
