Chad Fabry
We dug a pond last fall- it's officially full now. I can't wait to build a zip line.new pond
kurt
Sweet. You gonna put any fish in it? Where's the zip line going to run?
charlieb
That is nice....what's all the white stuff. Just taking a break form working on the back planting beds. I'd rather be doing that than to be in one of the groups of goofy guys in shorts chasing the little white balls that keep passing by. John Kogel
Nice spread. And a big patch of water that never needs mowing. Just a zip line? What about a catapult? []
Ben H
How deep did you dig Chad?
Chad Fabry
Kurt, we're stocking it w/ perch and /or some kind of bass that I forgot the name of. I'll run the zip line down the hill from a couple hundred feet above the pond. Ben, it's 16 feet deep. Before Click to Enlarge 68.4 KB About halfway through. kurt
What about bluegills? Would they do OK in a pond like that? It'd be fun to get a little flyrod and pop bluegills in Springtime.

They'll do just fine if they have a place to hide from the bass. As long as Chad is "Structure Smart", he should have a fun little fish farm there. Think reef. Even in a pond. Chad, if you have a nice cold spring feeding it, small mouths could make it. If not, large mouths are what you want.
