mgbinspect
Sweet! A couple years back, I monitored an Osprey nest, through the season. The pair had three hatchlings. As they grew up, the parents worked themself to death feeding those three, who got to be darn near as big as their parents. As soon as one parent landed with a mouse the other took off to hunt. Terence McCann
I forgot to check for a while, hockey playoffs, but 7:30 PM, saw two eaglets and an unhatched egg. http://www.hancockwildlife.org/index.ph ... a1#closeup Thanks for the heads up John. I saw her get off the nest but I only saw one. There was a nice fresh fish in the nest flopping around which she proceeded to tear into and try to feed the youngster. It wasn't hungry so she sat back down on it.
John Kogel
The aggressive eaglet was getting all the food this AM, and beating on his sibling to boot. 7:50 PM, #1 ate his fill, #2 got 3 or 4 mouthfuls, the egg is still there in the nest. Vancouver Canucks have won the 3rd game, in Chicago.
