Jim Katen Posted August 7, 2011 Report Share Posted August 7, 2011 It's just an indicator light to tell you that the dimmer is on. When the dimmer handle is in place, the light creates a dim glow to alert you to the fact that the light is on -- even if it's dimmed way down to where you might not notice it.
