Garet
Found this in a 1950s -1960s bathroom. It had an exhaust fan over the throne, with a somewhat newer count-down timer control on the opposite wall. Google turned up nothing. Any ideas? allseason
Looks like an electric heat source control. What happened when you turned it up?
Jim Katen
In my area, those stats are used to control radiant ceiling heat.
kurt
In my area, those stats are used to control radiant ceiling heat. Same here. I'd be looking for some electric drywall.
Garet
Looks like an electric heat source control. What happened when you turned it up? Nothing, as far as I could tell. It was already a long inspection, so I didn't want to spend a lot of time running between there and the panel. Thanks everyone for your input. Erby
I agree with ceiling heat. Don't know why you'd be running back and forth to the panel. Just crank it up, go on for a while and come back to use your infrared thermometer to see if there's any temperature differential in the ceiling drywall. Around here I usually get readings of about 115 - 120 after cranking em up. -
Brandon Whitmore
No wonder I see these exact 'stats all of the time-- they were made right here in OR.
hausdok
I see them all the time. Not just with ceiling radiant but with all sorts of electrical heaters. ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Mike
