Mike Lamb
Finned vinyl windows use flashing tape so you won't see the flashing during an inspection. Click to Enlarge 35.4?KB Click to Enlarge 121.23?KB
hausdok
Finned vinyl windows use flashing tape so you won't see the flashing during an inspection. Click to Enlarge 35.4?KB Click to Enlarge 121.23?KB Not necessarily true. Out here, lots of builders use the bituthene around three sides and then use metal head flashings along the top of the window. If they're installing Hardiplank they are required to do so by the manufacturer. ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Mike

Marc
Finned vinyl windows use flashing tape so you won't see the flashing during an inspection. Click to Enlarge 35.4?KB Click to Enlarge 121.23?KB Drawing shows the side flashing installed over the window flange but I've seen some that show the side flashing installed under the window flange. Chk out the stucco article in the October issue of JLC. By Gene Summy. There doesn't seem to be a clear industry consensus. Marc
