TimWhalen
My service lines for a laundry room waste sink run into the basement. They are 1/2 inch copper. The cold line has an inline glass looking filter. It is about 10 inches tall and I suppose it is some sort of filter. I will get a picture of it later tonight. Anyhow, it is leaking and I think I can get rid of the whole ting altogether. My sense is that the previous owner had this installed since this sink was the main kitchen sink before. Since I only use this sparingly...can I just cut it out and run a staright copper line?
Jim Katen
Yes, toss the nasty old filter.
