Rob Amaral
Did I hear this right? The fire spread laterally under the boardwalk ? No fire-stops or anything?
Marc
If this is the Atlantic City Boardwalk, I've been there twice and I don't get the mode of transmission of this fire. It's not a building with enclose spaces that facilitates transmission. Marc
John Kogel
The buildings along the boardwalk caught fire and the fire jumped from roof to roof with the pervailing wind. Just bad luck, IMO.
Bill Kibbel
The buildings along the boardwalk caught fire and the fire jumped from roof to roof with the pervailing wind. Just bad luck, IMO. It also spread in and under the boardwalk. Smashing apart a break in the boardwalk after a couple blocks failed. A 25-foot wide break and trench 8 blocks north worked. I spent most parts of my teenage summers at Seaside Heights, NJ. This isn't Atlantic City.
