lbholcomb
The four double AA batteries in the control must be replaced weekly. The temps outside seldom fall below 50 degrees and I keep the remote thermostat set at 68. This is our second year to operate the gas log fireplace and we purchased it new this year. Last year the batteries lasted all season. We are using top of the line alkaline batteries. What could be causing this?

We had battery operated gas logs in the last house. A remote turned on the gas. D cells at the fireplace and AA in the remote. I don;t think we ever changed them [^]
