Mike Lamb
I found these in the fan compartment of a Goodman furnace. It may be why the house had 5 or 6 cats. It was also the most pet filthy, foulest smelling occupied home I have ever inspected. Click to Enlarge 100.34 KB

Tom Raymond
I had rats once. They didn't stay too long in my boiler, but they sure did like the refractory insulation. Little bastards took the blanket out from under the burners.
Erby
What did the coils look like. Covered with cat hair, I'd bet.
AHI in AR
Looks like they couldn't run fast enough to stay on that exercise wheel in there!
Mike Lamb
What did the coils look like. Covered with cat hair, I'd bet. The sellers said they were having trouble with their air-conditioning if that is a hint. I did not look at the AC coils. They had two furnaces and both had collapsed cat hair clogged filters that were sucked into the fan.

Erby
When I can't see the coils, I get a picture of the blower fan blades to see if they're crud covered.
