There may be some standards out there regarding pool construction, but I am not familiar with them. I am a bit familiar with pool piping, having just fixed mine last week (after spending a month last fall finding where it was leaking). Why do you ask? ghentjr Posted May 27, 2015 Report Share Posted May 27, 2015 The only reg I am aware of is the propane line to the heater, which has to be 18" around here an the electrical lines. I simply blow out my lines and plug them. No problem with freeze damage in 30 years with the pool. I did have a problem with insects eating through the flexible pvc lines for a period of time.
