hausdok
The Home Builder's Guide to Coastal Construction (FEMA 499) is just one in a series of documents produced by the government to help people prepare for disasters in disaster-prone areas. There are actually 31 fact sheets in this series and they are meant to provide builders technical guidance for residential construction in coastal areas. Many of the fact sheets also include lists of FEMA and other resources that provide more information about the topics discussed and some articles have active web links. The fact sheets are available in either pdf or plain text format. To download the documents click here.
