Darren
I can tell you first hand that it has driven down the price of inspections. This may be a result of "more" inspectors or just that home sales have slowed down a lot and new inspectors are scrambling to stay afloat. The past 2 days I have lost 2 inspections; 1 was a four-plex with 3 bedrooms each unit, the guy said he got someone to do it for (under $500) half may price The second was a vacant 3 bedroom (guy was gonna flip-it) POS, I lowered my price by $50.00, got the job, he called back 2 hrs later and said someone beat my price by $175.00. It's become cut-throat; the consumer will be paying in the long run through. Darren www.aboutthehouseinspections.com
