Loose gang plates are a common defect, when have you ever seen a plywood gusset come off? What changed was computer truss design. If you could enter the shape, the computer could create a truss. No actual skill required. Now anyone could design anything, and they did.

Cheap loans were set in motion by our old buddy Billy Clinton and the repeal of Glass-Steagall that turned the banks loose to generate those mortgage based derivatives that led to the '08 collapse.
