I wonder if there is any way to write off a trip to Dublin. Guinness is an intergral of my report writing. Any thoughts. Gotta go to a wedding also.[:-party][8D]

Sure,

Call it research. Get in touch with a Chartered Surveyor who specializes in residential surveys for buyers and ask him to let you tag along for a couple of days in order to "learn" more about masonry structures how RICS inspections compare to our own. When you get back, write an article about the topic and get it published as proof that it was business/work related.

If it is business related yes.

If it is not business related it will be at the expense of your neighbors and friends etc If you claim it as a deduction.

I am not going to sign this as I may be shunned.[:-blindfo
