hausdok
Hi All, I just checked the member sign-up queue and noticed that there are about 25 folks waiting for their membership to be approved - some of them as much as 49 days. So, once again I'm compelled to explain the registration process. I bet that some of these folks are wondering to themselves, "Why haven't I been approved? I'm a good inspector and I've submitted my data to TIJ but approval has been a looooonnng time coming. Why won't O'Handley approve it?" The answer is simple - it's an automated process. If you want to be a "member" at TIJ, you must submit a valid e-mail address when you fill out the registration page or your membership will never be approved. As soon as you fill out the registration form and submit it, the site automatically and instantaneously sends you an e-mail message with a link which you must click to confirm your registration. Once you've done that, the software automatically approves your registration and you have full access. The whole process takes less than 5 minutes in most cases, so there's no reason for anyone to be in that queue. However, submit a false e-mail address and the confirmation letter never reaches you and you remain in the queue in perpetual limbo. So, if you've been wondering, that's why. Now, submit a new application with a real e-mail address and you'll be approved in minutes. ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Mike
Richard Stanley
Mike, I am unable to log on. Obviously, I can post replys, so that works ok, but, there are a couple of categories that I can't open, ie; open discussion, professional qualifications, etc. When I try to log on it tells me that I am logged on and then I can't open those things. - been going on for a few weeks now - sometimes I repeat the process a few times - help!. hausdok
Hi, Go to the menu bar above, pass your cursor over 'forums' and then click on 'active topics'. Once that panel comes up, make sure that the drop-down box is set to "All categories that you have access to" and not the default categories. Then try it again. If that doesn't work, you'll have to get help from Mike or Rose at Devwave, because I'm still not up on the net from home due to the power/phone/everything outages we experienced last week with those storms.
