chrisprickett
An accessory for the pool, but it could be considered portable. Does the bonding code apply? Download Attachment: bballhoop.jpg 142.68 KB
Renron
Chris, this was stolen straight from Norm on the swimming pool forum: "NEC 680.26(B)(5) refers to all metal within 5 feet of the waterline. A metal gutter downspout would be included and, therefore, must be bonded. NORM SAGE" Just passin' it from one place to 'nother Ron
Jeff Remas
Chris, sorry for the delay with my post but yes, it still has to be bonded, even 3 code cycles later.
Erby
You're five years late to the circus, Jeff. Life must really be boring for you today!
sepefrio
Just a question to clarify, does this apply to temporary objects as well as permanently installed. My experience with those nets and how this one appears, you can remove it at will (it just slides into the hole). If it was bonded, then that alone would make it permanent right? Or would the hole it slides into be grounded?
