hausdok
Inspectors should probably become familiar with the performance characteristics of this new wrap which is rated for up to six months of exposure to the weather. John Dirks Jr
Interesting. Now a question about wrap. In new construction around here I have seen houses wrapped in green colored wrap on one portion and white in others. I mean both colors used on the same house. Is there anything different about these wraps other than the color?
Tom Raymond
John, That happens all the time. Usually it's because the contractor has run out and grabbed whatever is available at the closest supplier. Occasionally (read almost never)it is because there is to be multiple wall covering materials and each has different requirements. Not all wraps are created equal. hausdok
Hi, The next time you see a house with the green wrap on a portion of it, stop and take a brief look at it. It's probably drainage wrap and is woven in such a way that it has little raised vertical ribs so water can drain out of the wall. Usually used where there's going to be a veneer of some sort applied. OT - OF!!! M.
