hausdok Posted July 12, 2008 Report Share Posted July 12, 2008 According to a CNN.com/technology article, in Germany, where green roofs have been very popular since the early 1990's, green roofs are supposed to contribute to cooler urban temperatures, reduce global warming, and also reduce water problems caused by excess runoff. Be-that-as-it-may, despite the current "green" construction fad in the U.S., green roofs have been pretty slow to catch on in the U.K. and in North America.
