John Dirks Jr
What kind of critters make this pattern. It doesn't look like the termite tubes I have seen. Image Insert: 97.33 KB
Bain
They look like partially wiped away mud tubes to me.
hausdok
Hi, Yeah, it does look like mud tubes. It's pretty large-grained stuff, though. If you were out here I'd say it was Pacific Dampwood Termite frass. Course, I can't really see it close up. Once you see PDWT frass, you never mistake it for anything else; when you look at it under a loop it looks like a bunch of little six-sided Indian tom-tom drums. Hee, Hee. ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Brian G
I have to agree, it sure looks like it. Sound the alarm. Brian G. Invasion of the Little White Critters That Can't Stand Sunlight [:-alien]
John Dirks Jr
Both my client and their agent were present and I pointed this out to them. I said get the WDO report guy out here. They agreed and I also put it in the inspection report. Amazing what you can find when you pull a little insulation out of the way.
