Name of counter around garden or a jetted tub

How to you call the horizontal surfaces around a jetted tub etc. ?

Counter? shelf?

For example: "There are loose tiles in the counter top adjacent to the jetted tub?"

That's what I call it anyway.

if the tub is set for bath only we call it deck mount. and if the tub surounded with walls and has the horisental step we call it the tub ledge
