I have to admit to putting color match stainless trim nails in at the top on occasion, when things are not text book. I hope you're not looking at roofing nail. Jeremy Posted January 3, 2009 Report Share Posted January 3, 2009 From the VSI installation manual.... Eaves Treatment The last course of siding may be cut to fi t the eaves opening (Fig. 47). Measure from the soffit to the base of the upper lock on the previous course of panels. Subtract 1/4ââ¬â¢Ã¢â¬â¢ (6.4mm). Mark this dimension on the panel to be cut, measuring from the bottom edge of the panel. It is a good idea to check the dimension in several locations along the length of the wall.
