Hi Ted,

If you go through the archives here, you'll find that we've discussed these before. Er, if I may, please do not call them "modular" homes, because they are anything but. The correct term is "manufactured" home. A modular home is one built completely to all applicable current codes off-site in a factory and then brought to the site on trucks in the form of boxes (modules) that are lifted off the truck and assembled onto a full foundation on-site. The difference between modulars and manufactured homes is as great as the difference between stick built and manufactured.
