Jim Katen
How often do you guys recommmend that your clients apply the silver UV sealant/protectant on a flat roof? As soon as it wears off or starts peeling. The period between coats will vary dramatically with the amount of UV exposure that the roof gets. - Jim in Oregon

Bill Kibbel
Is the typical life expectancy around 5-10 years? 3-5 in our area, unless the roof is heavily shaded.
msteger
Do you recommend re-applying it when you see alligatoring?
caryseidner
Matthew, If you are see alligatoring it probably the asphalt below the UV coating, and not the coating itself. Thus no need to re-apply.
kurt
Alligatoring isn't necessarily bad. It just means they put too much tar in that spot.
