Michael Carson
I am looking at Constant Contact as a marketing tool and was wondering who else on this forum uses it and have you found it effective? If it is not effective, what methods do you use instead.
Michael Carson
Sorry, I put this in the wrong category.
Rick Bunzel
Try Mail Chimp. Its free for the first 500 names and cheaper than Constant Contact after that. Mail Chimp's reporting is on par with Constant Contact but the mail creation is easier. Give Mail Chimp a try! //Rick San Juan Island Home Inspections
Mike Lamb
Constant Contact is too expensive. I use Vertical Response. It's pay as you go with no monthly fees or minimum orders. Lots of templates and very simple. 1.5 cents each email up to a 1000 per pop. http://www.verticalresponse.com/email-marketing/pricing I never looked into Chimp. AmeriSpecguy
We use Constant Contact. We got a deal so it worked best for us. At $30 a month for up to 2,500 contacts it's not a bad deal. Also the tracking features make it worth the money. Being able to see who and how many people actually opened the email makes it worth the price. Erby
It's a pain in the ass to make my own e-mails that are worthy of reading. I subscribe to John Onofrey's e-mail marketing. Home Hints ENews $300 or so a year and each month all of my contacts get an e-mail that usually has at least a couple of things worth reading. Only hard part is remembering to add my new contacts every so often. I tried writing my own report software in Word because I'm very proficient in using it. Decided I'd rather inspect than program (or, just for Bob, cut and paste stuff, and being proficient with a 'tool.') . HomeGauge solved that problem for me. I tried writing and sending my own newsletter. Decided I'd rather inspect than research and write articles worthy of reading and try to track results. Home Hints ENews solved that problem for me. I'm a LOT happier. Now if I could just find somebody to inspect for me and send the money to me on a Caribbean Island! Here's a sample. Looking at that reminds me I need to upload a new head shot! Marc
I hate mass Emailing. Several vendors harass me with them, so I don't do it to others. Marc
