  1. When we bought our house 12 years ago, there was an old intertherm baseboard heater attached to one wall in the bedroom which the previous owners didn't remove, even though all intertherm controls and circuits were disconnected. We couldn't figure out how to remove it so just left it in place and placed furniture in front of it to hide it. But now we want to remove it to put in new furniture and but can't even figure out how it is even attached to the wall. Would an electrician be able to help us do this? Also, we are concerned about what happens if these units are never used. Can bacteria build up in them? And what do we do with the old unit once it is removed from the wall -- can it be recycled somehow? Thanks!
