I'm thinking about doing and egress window in my basement that's easy to step into, maybe 24" off the ground. This, of course, will put a large hole in my yard. What are the safety regulations in regards to the hole? Do I need stairs? I would guess max depth at 44" if no steps. Do I need steps? Thx. bluefish111
