Being fairly new in this industry, this article really hits home to me. I am not or never really have been known for my outstanding communication skills especially on topics I may not have the most experience with. I work on a daily basis to improve my inspection skills and knowledge as well as my report writing. I have seen in my researching all these topics, the writing and inspection methods are very subjective to ones opinion. This to me is what makes it so challenging to find mentors and coaching. My question through all of this is, how do I find this kind of coaching and mentorship when the target of the best inspection/report is so unclear? Just what I have noticed through different training courses and posts or articles.
