Happy New Year Quick question for any siding experts out there. Should I see any exposed nail head going through vinyl siding. I only see it on the very top piece along the sides of the home. I dont think its right any input would be great....... Thanks
I was in an attic yesterday and saw damage to the 2x4s to the roof frame. Please look at the pic an see if I shoud mention it to the buyer. Kinda hard to make out but the discolored area is where a section is missing. Image Insert: 200.76 KB
I have never heard the term either I googled it and there is quite a bit of info on it. I attached a few photos please take a look, see if it changes anyones mind. If it is ok you may want to research it for your areas. Thanks Image Insert: 240.65 KB Image Insert: 328.72 KB
Good afternoon guys, I ran in to a studer vent in an attic this morning. Its a sewer vent that does not terminate through the roof but in the attic. Have any one of you ran in to this before, any problems?
This photo was taken of a two story home the crack was from the header of the first floor window going to 2nd floor. Home built in 1971. Other than recommending a structural eng. Is there more I should say? Any feedback would be great help. Image Insert: 331.29 KB
Thanks fellas, for a new guy all your input is invaluable. I did re-think it after the first few comments ref untreated wood burried in dirt, I was like what the hell.....LOL Any ways Thanks again, trust me you will be hearing from me again. (S00N)
There is a hole in sheathing that caused the leak, 2x4 rafters used no sagging. Not sure of of 4 pieces of wood could not get any closer the zoom of the camera got me in that close. It was at soffit vents im 6-2" it was a really tight a human pretzel, thanks for your patience and feed back I recommended the owner contact a cert. contractor to evaluate.
