    Wood siding should end 6-8" above soil. What is the distance, if any, that apply to other types of siding? And what would be applied to the surface below the siding to prevent water/moisture?

    Saw a show on DIY where there was a junction box installed inside a wall flat against the plywood and butted against the side of a stud. The builder said this is against code. Why?
