I’m the developer of google play app [随拍随记 SnapNote]. It’s a lightweight mobile app for documenting inspections and site visits with photos, timestamps, locations, and notes. Inspectors can also dictate notes, select relevant photos, and export them as a PDF.
It isn’t intended to replace a full home-inspection reporting system such as HomeGauge or InspectIt. I see it more as a simple photo-record and field-documentation tool, particularly for inspectors who don’t need a large reporting package for every visit.
I’m currently looking for feedback from working inspectors—especially about what would make photo capture and reporting faster in the field. What information do you consider essential for each inspection photo besides the photo, time, location, and notes?
