anyoldmouse
This isn't necessarily for home inspectors, but since I downloaded it, it has helped me a lot. I have a 10 megapixel camera and even on the lowest resolution setting, the files are huge. That means that when I try to import it into my software, that it takes a long time. When my software periodically saves the work in progress, my computer slows to a crawl or freezes. When I try to upload it into an email and send it to a client, I sometimes wonder if I could have sent a hard copy via Pony Express. Picture Girdle shrinks the file size of all of my pictures. I don't have a clue how this even works because I can't tell the difference between the original and the "girdled" one. For example, most of the pictures I take use up between 3-5 MB each. After Picture Girdle converts it, the files are between 0-4 kb. I don't know how it gets a file down to 0 kb, but it does. When I create a brand new text document using Notepad, it takes up 1 kb. There's some kind of magical thing going on here. Anyway, I recommend this nice freebie.
