    So I'm looking at this not too old house. There's a crack going up the middle of the driveway and on into the garage. Click to Enlarge 59.18 KB Click to Enlarge 75.57 KB Crack goes right on thru the garage. When I'm in the house the floors slope to the exterior walls, like the hundred year olds. Under the house the soil has the expansion cracks. Posts down thru the center are tilted, ends of beams curve down.     Thanks Greg, Googling around it was kind of looking that way. Still no obvious information on it. This mfg hm was an 05 model. I've only seen it one other time.

    Sometimes I see ceiling registers, in manufactured homes, in all the rooms in addition to the floor registers for the furnace. In the hallway there will be some ceiling registers too. Next to one of the hall ones there will be a fan behind a register. They don't come on when the heater is on. What are they for?

    So my friend built this house. His brother was a contractor, perhaps, that he helped a few times built some houses, or a house. I can tell the friend till I'm blue in the face about how it needs to be done and he'll still do it the way that he was taught. It is very insightful as to the mind set of probably most builders. People in general. I can't get my wife to quit leaving the sponge sopping wet in the sink. So I watch and think of all those houses that get flipped, etc. Need to always mention this vent the cathedral ceiling deal.

    Helping a friend replace his roof. 30 years old. Insulation packed against the soffit vents. Insulation packed against the sheathing. Blocking 2/3 the way up the cathedral ceiling joist bays. No vents at the top. Other than that it was done nicely. Click to Enlarge 72.92 KB

    Thanks all. Pretty much just a covered up crawl space opening. The other side was turned into a room addition. There were anchor bolts.

    When we're camping we feel great after splitting a 5 gal solar water shower bag. Are all 4 people lined up at the door to take showers? Get a six pack of beer in there to thin them out and figure a way to cut the flow way down on the shower head. Make it easy to stop flow while soaping up instead of just letting the hot water fly. Kind of like letting the water run while brushing your teeth. My wife likes to have Niagara Falls coming down when using our home shower. I apologize for the above statement.
