    Ladder lube

I noticed early on how my Little Giant ladder was sticking when changing it around. I've used this product on my mountain bikes for years, mainly because I take my bike partially apart for transport and don't want to get my hands all greased out. This product comes in several different formulas and this is the one you want for no yuck on your hands. Sometimes there's a little and it wipes off on your pants easier than dust. Not sticky. Try it, you'll love it. It comes in smaller bottles too. I put some on like once every couple of years. Lots of bike shops carry it. Remember, get the Clean Ride formula. Others are sticky. Click to Enlarge 108.81 KB I just thought of sharing this with you as I was lubing up my wife's Werner. And before Bill says anything, of course I never would have dated her had I known she had a Werner.
  5. I've heard grass called herb, and I've heard herb called grass. Not sure how the banana fits in there.
  6. We got some prefinished stuff for a bedroom. Went down easy. Nice and straight. A little softer than hardwood. I heard of an inspector getting jacked up for calling it a hardwood when it is actually a grass? I call it bamboo.
  7. Kurt, what's a 6' caisson...check valve? Guessing a 6 ft up, horizontal with valve, and back down? 6' being the first defense?
  8. Thank you all for your input[:-thumbu] You make me look good. Well, not physically.
  9. Water wheel generator, which I disclaimed. Click to Enlarge 45.75 KB
  10. Seller grew up in this house with 13 siblings. Approx 1100 sq ft. It's 30 minutes out of town. Click to Enlarge 51.71 KB Built a nicer house up above. Now the 2 with 170 acres is selling for 2.2 mil. Fantastic view, lots of sun, growers delight.
  11. Probably not, but I think maybe it should be mentioned to the new buyers? Or is it because it is being strung through the air on the way over that it's not that big a deal?
  12. 2 wire service entrance to this main panel. There are 4 20 amp breakers and 1 15 amp. The service entrance looks like 10 or 8 gage at best. Isn't it possible to burn it up if all the breakers are humming along? Click to Enlarge 67.81 KB
  13. Before I were a HI we had our house finished up to drywall. Wife, well I, did the tile on painted greenboard. Lasted 25 years. It's Achilles Heel was I finally put down grout between the tub and wall cause it be easier to clean. Hot water shower shaving mirror head dripped on a corner and helped push hot water up under the grout to the framing/sub floor area on the other side. About 3 weeks after I dun got back from my 2 weak HI school my wife says what's that black stuff on the floor in the closet. Grout took me out! The airborne termites came in. I redid it. Spent well over a month. We have another shower up stairs. Like doing my first kidney replacement and the patient had lots of spare time.
  14. There's a long horizontal fine crack about 4 feet up which seems to be on a high spot of that plane. I better recommend tile boy check it all out. Thanks Bill.
  15. Most excellent. Thanks Kurt!
  16. They don't seem to be cracked, yet? Are cracks on the way? It's tile.

  18. More badness. 2 Thursdays back it's 10am. I'm at the river putting my raft together. It's going to be 73 that day, and was. My phone rings. It's some Realtor assistant saying " Here's the day code for you". wtf, did I forget an appointment? After 30 minutes of freaking out I find out from my clients agent that I had said I would come back out and look at a sub panel after the owner scraped all the paint off the perimeter and especially the screws. Some one thought I would just run over there on a moments notice. I handled it the next morning and the screws were still full of paint. The owner had merely opened the front swing out cover. So I ripped the paint out of those screws. I've never blown an appointment, yet. I had visions of putting up Fb photos and the Realtors saying look at that clown. He was supposed to be at .... at 11:00 today. [:-paperba
  19. Looked at some house a while back. Had a few problems. Bla, bla, bla. Three days or so later I get this from the listing RE broker: You killed another deal for me again ... So frustrating. I waited for about 20 minutes and came up with this: Not that much wrong with that house. All fixable. Too bad it couldn?t have been negotiated. I wonder what you would not have wanted to know about if you were buying that house? It's been a month or so and he hasn't got back to me yet.
  20. Been working for me. Local hardware has sold it to me twice now. About 14 gallons for a shared driveway. A day to clean and two to put it down half at a time. Achy brakie, backie, then I find out there is 7 yr stuff instead of the 2 I've been using, Me and the hardware store didn't know about it. Sheesh. Click to Enlarge 42.1 KB
  21. It was great meeting you Kurt! Any of you all traveling up the coast let's have a beer. If it's warm out I'll take you rafting an hour away. Have a boat big enough for your whole family.
  22. We had a good shock a month back. We get little ones, that we can feel, 3x a year. And the occasional blast. One street may have damage, in a big quake, and the next one over not so bad. Seems like the shock waves spread out like glass cracking. From a yahoo's point of view.
  23. I'm guessing the perimeter footing was down to solid soil and the post and piers are floating on expansive. May be as easy as cutting the posts to fit. For them and a foundation contractor to figure out. No weight diff on the outsides of the driveway.
  24. Anyone ignant enough to leave guns there during an inspection could be ignant enough to leave them loaded, cocked, etc. One could have a hair trigger, etc. Yikes. I've had access to guns since 10 years old. Just sayin. You touch it you own what happens.
  25. Same for windows being locked or left opened. I leave them the way I find them.
