Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

With Ken. It's a photocell.

Kurt, I wouldn't think you'd have a problem. Windows 10 runs cleaner than the old systems that tended to bog down. At least that has been my experience.

We are +100 inspections YTD. November is on pace for and similar to last year, 30-35 inspections.

tree stump right next to foundation
Robert Jones replied to bleach333's topic in Foundation Systems Forum
It's possible, but, more than likely the tree was dropped prior to the home being built. Are there any strange cracks at the stem wall in the area of the stump? I would be more concerned with wood destroying insects that may nest in that stump. -
Well played Jim, well played.

While you are educating yourself about the issues with FPE panel's, learn about Zinsco/Sylvania panel's as well. Both should always be recommended for replacement.

I replaced the stem/valve.

No need to apologize Morgan, I fixed it.

Is that like too much cowbell? Thanks for the reply.

Plumbing guru's a question. The handheld shower on the right, began making a God awful "screaming" noise last night and eventually, the water just shut's off. A little bit of vibration right before the water shut's off. Copper plumbing. Is it an issue with the valve? The valve on the left, for the rain head, work's normal. Click to Enlarge 32.07 KB

Two pipe furnace, intake not terminated outside
Robert Jones replied to David Meiland's topic in HVAC Forum
I have seen this in both attic and crawl space cavities. I didn't notice any issue(s) with the operation of the furnace(s). -
Appraisers punting to inspectors
Robert Jones replied to gtblum's topic in Open Discussion Forum (Chit-Chat)
Over the year's, I have had appraiser's call out items during their appraisal, that they wanted either verified or explained away by me, on letterhead. In all cases, it was a total waste of time, and simply the appraiser, not knowing what they are looking at. For example; I had an appraiser call out a Zinsco panel on a 2000 built home. They required that I put on letterhead, that it wasn't. That letter was a bit snarky to say the least. -
Well, yeah. I am assuming that there wasn't a register in the bedroom.
